FAQs

What is Tender Living Residence (TLR)?

Tender Living Residence (TLR) is a supported living and accommodation service for vulnerable young people aged 16–25. We provide safe, inclusive home environments and person-centred care that empowers each resident to rebuild confidence, learn life skills, and actively shape their future.

We support young people (16–25 years old) from a wide range of backgrounds, especially those who have faced challenges or trauma, including those recovering from substance misuse, managing mental health or self-harm, displaying challenging behavior, young parents, asylum seekers, and those with learning disabilities.

Supported accommodation refers to supervised housing with care services for young people who need both a place to live and daily support. It includes Ofsted-regulated homes for 16–17-year-olds and supported living for 18+ with structured support.
Floating support is an outreach service where support workers visit young people living independently to provide help with daily living, emotional support, and guidance with education, employment, or housing.
Referrals can be made by local authorities, social workers, youth offending teams, charities, families, or the young people themselves. TLR conducts an assessment to determine eligibility and the appropriate placement.
Contact TLR directly via phone or website to start the referral process. A referral form is completed, followed by an assessment to determine eligibility and develop an initial support plan.
Residents have private rooms in shared homes, follow structured routines, receive one-on-one mentoring, and participate in creative, social, and life skills activities. Staff are present 24/7 to ensure support and safety.
